Laser Therapy

By September 19, 2017

Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital is proud to offer a Class IV Therapy Laser for all of our patients. Therapeutic laser technology is increasingly being used in veterinary medicine, as it is a non-invasive, cost-effective, and very safe modality for the treatment of a wide array of conditions. Laser light works by penetrating tissues, warming them up and increasing cellular energy and metabolism. There is an immediate reduction in pain and inflammation, and over time, healing is promoted, along with an influx of blood vessels and nerves. Laser is ideal for the treatment of wounds, whether fresh or chronic, and whether naturally-occurring or post-surgical. Animals that are treated with therapeutic laser after elective surgeries and dental extractions exhibit decreased signs of pain and irritation than untreated pets. Laser can also be used in the management of arthritis, soft tissue injuries, hot spots, wounds, ear infections and more.
